The muddler was dirty INSIDE the packaging. It had dark brown, rust-like stains on the white tip. I scrubbed the tip and dried the stainless steal part immediately. The stainless steal is now rusting.

I bought this for my husband who seems to love it. We typically use it to muddle mint when making a cocktail and it's worked great so far. My only concern would be that I am unsure how long the product will stay in good condition. The bottom piece is plastic so I worry that it will wear out over time. However, as of now it works great and the price is great
